Mezzanine System
In today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving competitive landscape, businesses require smart and cost-effective solutions to optimize their operations. Mezzanine systems offer an efficient and economical way to maximize available floor space without the need for building expansion. These systems help reduce operating costs by providing additional production, assembly, office, or storage areas, ensuring seamless business growth.
Mezzanines can be free-standing or shelf-supported and are designed to double or even triple the usable square footage of an existing facility. The standard mezzanine framing system consists of a steel deck supported by joists and main mezzanine beams. Depending on the design load requirements, the main beams may also be supported by intermediate columns to enhance structural stability. The joists are aligned with the top flange of the primary beams, ensuring a uniform and robust framework.
The embossed patterns on the top and sides of the deck sheet ribs enhance grip, reducing the risk of slippage while forming a strong bond with the concrete—similar to traditional reinforcement methods. This system also serves as permanent formwork and positive reinforcement, eliminating the need for temporary timber or steel formwork, which results in faster installation and reduced labor costs. Additionally, the clean, uniform, and aesthetically appealing ribbed underside minimizes the need for additional ceiling finishes, further reducing overall costs. The MS deck sheet is designed to support specific load requirements and is covered with form concrete, ensuring strength, durability, and long-term functionality.
